Placing your vacancy on JobShop

If you have a vacancy and would like to use the JobShop service please take a few minutes to read our Code of practice.

To place an advert please email the following information to jobshop@lancaster.ac.uk

• Your company name and address
• The job title and a brief job description
• Whether or not you require the person to have any particular work experience or skills.
• The number of working hours required (The JobShop recommends that students do not work more than 15 hours per week whilst they are studying).
• How you would like the student to apply for the position i.e. phone enquiry, email or letter.
• The hourly rate of pay of at least the National Minimum Wage.*

*The JobShop will only advertise vacancies that have an hourly rate of pay. Many of our students are International students and as such are not allowed to enter into any self employed work.
